Countdown-5 days to Christmas

Well, Christmas is just 5 days away.  My shopping is done-gifts and groceries for the holiday.  Today, I got the chance to scrap a few more pages for JYC 2009.  Besides that, Abra and I baked TONS of Amish Friendship Bread (Thank for the starter, Claire).  Now with just 2 more days of school before the holidays really begin, I have to finish up the school yearbook and put my skills to work there!  Hopefully, a few of the students will help me out.  They're such great kids!

My own kids will be busy doing a few chores to help prepare for Christmas Eve.  It promises to be a busy week what with 8th Grade Night, VB/BB Fun Night and of course, Christmas.  I can't wait to see everyone and be together!  Its my favorite holiday despite all the stress.

Anyway-I'll be posting pictures from this week soon, so plan on coming  back to see whats been scrapped!

The 12 days of Christmas

Well, Christmas is just 12 short days away and we all have plenty left to do.  Thankfully, I have all my Christmas cards made and they have been mailed or given to family, friends, and co-workers.  Now all that is left is the last minute shopping for gifts and preparation for various Christmas parties.

Anyway, as the song goes...on the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me a partridge in a pear tree.  Well, not exactly!  But, here is a picture of my own favorite little bird that sits in my Christmas tree.   A sentimental gift my grandmother gave me many years ago.  It took some practice, but I finally got the light effect I wanted in this photo.  Also, here is a picture of just one of the scrapbook pages I made yesterday that shows this year's tree and my work on Shimelle's "Journal Your Christmas" Class.

I hope you enjoy!
